Veora "Honey" Albert Obituary

Veora (Honey) Albert was born on May 02, 1950 to the late John and Roberta Tate-Williams in Marvell, Arkansas.  She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member of Asbury Missionary Baptist Church in Marvell, Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend H.A. Atkins and later under Reverend Leroy Williams. 

Veora began her professional journey as a seamstress at Bobby Brooks in Helena, Arkansas.  Her passion for guiding and nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career as an educator at Mid-Delta Headstart in Marvell, Arkansas.  Known for her warmth and generosity, Veora found great joy in cooking and cherished time spent with her family, friends, and most of all, her loving husband, Freddie Albert. 

On August 17, 2024 at 7:10 a.m., Veora peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord surrounded by the love of her family.

Veora was preceded in death by her parents:  John and Roberta Tate-Williams; three (3) brothers:  John Williams, Jr.; Robert Williams; and James Cross; and one (1) sister:  Cassie McDaniel. 

Veora (Honey) Albert leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband:  Freddie Albert of fifty-three (53) years of marriage; three (3) sons:  Tony (Edna) Albert of Irving, Texas; Freddie Albert, Jr. of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Christopher Albert of Marvell, Arkansas; one (1) daughter: Latasha Albert of St. Paul, Minnesota; one (1) bonus daughter:  Stacy Douglas of Conway, Arkansas; one (1) brother:  James (Sentha) Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three (3) sisters:  Glover Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Delores Williams and Gwendolyn Millender of Belleville, Illinois; eight (8) sisters-in-law:  Wanda Williams of West Helena, Arkansas; Annie Willis of Marvell, Arkansas; Virgina Jefferson; Johnnie (Albert) Wagstaff; Josphine Ballard; and Joyce Adams of Omaha, Nebraska; Jurdine Ilkiw of Springfield, Missouri; and Karen Blount of Springfield, Missouri; two (2) brothers-in-law:  Tommy Albert and Carlos (Virginia) Albert of Marvell, Arkansas; fourteen (14) grandchildren; nine (9) great-grandchildren; four (4) bonus grandchildren; one (1) bonus great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special friends:  Janella Jackson, Revertis Gist, Marty McKissic, Vannice Lawrence, Ella Scott, and Doris Jackson.
