Carol Jean (Fournier) Jasinski, 73, passed away August 17, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Normand and Jean (Rouleau) Fournier. She received a Nursing Degree from Holyoke Community College and worked the majority of her 42-year career in the Providence Hospital Healthcare system as an RN. Her journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to caring for others, reflecting a heart full of compassion, selflessness and love. Outside of work Carol enjoyed taking vacations with her husband Peter, creating artwork, being with nature, and caring for her beautiful flowers and plants. She was also a certified Bach flower practitioner. Carol had a great sense of humor that sometimes got her into trouble. If there was a line, she didn’t mind putting a toe over it for a good laugh. Known as “Oma” her ultimate joy was spending time with her two Grandchildren Harrison and Delilah. They both had a special connection with her, whether it be through arts and crafts, or hiking in the woods. Her ability to spark their imagination, taking them all over the world all while sitting on the floor, was truly beautiful. Carol is survived by her husband, Peter Jasinski; daughter, Andrea Jasinski; son Peter Jasinski and his wife Corine; her two beloved grandchildren Delilah and Harrison; sisters; Sharon Boisjolie, and Linda Zwirko and her husband Vic; sister-in-law Donna Jasinski and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother Jerome Paul; her brother-in-law Ronald Boisjolie; brother-in-law John “Jack” Jasinski; and Sister-in-law Anne Peplinski. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 28th from 8:30 to 11:30am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, with a prayer service to begin at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, please take a loved one out for a nice dinner.
