Patricia Ann Dobrzykowski, age 90, formerly of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, AR. She was born on September 26, 1933 in Toledo, OH to Anthony and Theresa (Matuszynski) Grycza. Patricia was employed as a Production Manager at House of Type where she worked with her husband Daniel for 12 years, and as an Office Manager at Blako Advertising for 20 years. She was a founding member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church.

Patricia and Daniel met when she was working at a soda shop. She married Danny at seventeen, who fondly nicknamed her, ‘Patsy’. After a honeymoon that took them on a road trip across the country from Toledo through the Grand Canyon going to California and back, they were married for 71 years before his passing in 2023. Together they enjoyed golfing, bowling in “Ma & Pa” leagues at Van’s Recreation, happy hour on their patio watching the golfers, traveling, cruises and yearly vacations in St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island, FL. Earlier in life, you could find her playing golf on Wednesdays with Dan at Demore Hills or Heatherdowns Country Club, after which they enjoyed a pitched of beer at the Sunnyside Inn on Glendale. She loved watching her son bowl and enjoyed their out-of-town trips to his tournaments. She adored her daughter-in-law and even shared her famous Manhattan recipe with Sarah. Later in life, she took delight in her grandchildren, David Jr. and Adam, enjoying buying them gifts and spending time with them, reading stories, playing games and working on puzzles together for hours.     

Patricia is survived by her son, David (Sarah) Dobrzykowski; and grandsons, David Jr. and Adam Dobrzykowski. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Linda (Grycza) Rogers, Robert (Shelly) Knapik, Guy (Missy) Kimball, and Scott (Lisa) Kimball as well as great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Theresa; husband Daniel; sisters, Geraldine Kimball, Rita Knapik, and Dolores Grycza; and brothers, Daniel and Richard Grycza.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 25 from 5-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 26 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
