Shafor, Robert Montfort, 97 of Anaheim, California, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2024.  He was born to John and Helen Shafor on March 27, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio and lived most of his life in California.  He was married to the love of his life, the late Joyce Elaine Plourde for 63 years. They met in community theater in San Bernardino during their college years.  Robert was a loving and devoted husband and father, who made a career as a greeting card and commercial artist.  His wonderful sense of humor delighted all who knew him and he loved being with his family and friends. He was actively involved with Joyce as lay associates of the Sisters of St. Louis and involved in various ministries in the parishes of St. Anthony Claret and Holy Family Catholic Church in Orange County.

He is survived by his six children, Melanie Vogel, Paula Albrigo (Steve), Claudia Boden Ross (Mark), Mark Shafor, (Rhonda), Julie Shafor, and Joel Shafor (Ken), 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orange, 566 S. Glassell St., Orange, CA 92866, with a Celebration of Life to follow in the near future.
