Vern Long, 91, passed away on August 17th, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the husband of Stephanie Long with whom he shared 13 years of marriage.

Vernon was born in Manchester, Ohio, he was the son of Chester and Sadie Long. He was employed at SRP where he worked as a manager and eventually retired.

He was lifelong member of the VFW and Elks and was also a part of organizations like the American Legion, the Eagles, and the AZ American Italian Club. He often enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Vern will be remembered for his easy-going personality and always being willing to help others. He is survived by his wife and predeceased by his parents, and his two sisters, Evelyn and Peggy.

The funeral service will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
