The family of Godfrey Mbayiki and Peninah Mbabazi announce the passing of
their dear son, Daniel Ankunda-Mbayiki, on August 17, 2024, in Baltimore,
Maryland. He is survived by his parents and younger brother.
Daniel was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended St. Aloysius
Elementary Academy in Jersey City, Marist High School in Bayonne, and the
Syracuse University College of Engineering & Computer Science in Syracuse,
New York. In 2022, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
and began his career with Fast Enterprises in Baltimore, Maryland.
Daniel survived pediatric cancer at age 6. Unfortunately, the cancer reoccurred in
2023. While Daniel faced difficulties from various surgeries and treatments during
his short life, he remained courageous and resilient. He was enthusiastic about life
and enjoyed tennis, photography, playing guitar, volunteering, and travelling.
Rest in peace, darling Daniel. Your love, light, and legacy will never fade. You will
long be in our hearts and memories.
"BUT THOUGH HE CAUSES GRIEF, HE WILL
HAVE COMPASSION ACCORDING TO THE
ABUNDANCE OF HIS STEADFAST LOVE"
