On Saturday, August 17, 2024, Lady Kymberli Yvette Jenkins heard the call of her Heavenly Father to come home to Glory. With her family at her side, she peacefully took the hands of the Angels that were sent and bid this earthly life farewell.
Lady Kymberli was born May 13, 1966 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of John and Louise Osbourne McIntyre. She was a 1984 graduate of Timken Vocational School where she received her cosmetology license. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Lady Kymberli enjoyed music, singing, was an author, retail therapist, fashion designer, traveler, cook and cosmetologist. However, her passion was her dedication to her family.
She was a member of Freedom Family Fellowship Church, where she served as First Lady and Worship Leader. She was a former member and First Lady of Great Friendship Baptist Church in Youngstown and Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, NY. Prior to her being first lady to the fore ‘[‘mentioned churches, she served as Minister of Music with the Community Life C.O.G.I.C. In 2008, Lady Kymberli was licensed and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel.
Lady Kymberli served not only her church families, but served the community as well. She was a member of the Susan G. Coleman Cancer Foundation, the Ohio North Western Jurisdictional Music Ministry and was a national recording artist with five albums to her credit. As an actress for National Stage Plays for seven years, she participated in the following plays: “When A Woman is Fed Up”, “Tired of Being Alone”, A Good Man is Hard to Find”, and Right Woman, Wrong Man”.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her wonderful life and legacy, her parents; her beloved husband, Rev. Chorrethers M. Jenkins, Jr., whom she married November 14, 1989; three children, Praylonn Prince of Columbia, SC, Chan’Tera Jenkins of Atlanta, GA and Chorrethers M. Jenkins III of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Chross Jenkins, Cam Jenkins and Britton K. Prince; a sister, Bridgett (Terrell) Parker; and a brother, John (Olisia) McIntyre both of Canton; her father-in-law who loved her dearly, Bishop Chorrethers M. Jenkins of Youngstown; and a host of family, church family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Minister Stephanie Jenkins.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Evangelistic Temple, 2214 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44509. Celebration of Life services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
