MADISON – Brigitte Jilbert, age 77 of Madison, enjoyed her last song on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at New Perspective in Sun Prairie, Wis. She was born in Berlin, Germany on July 11, 1947, the daughter of Günter and Ella Trebbin. Brigitte married Ed Jilbert on Oct. 24, 1974, in Frankfurt am Rhein, Germany.

Brigitte was a Berliner, traveler, ladies tailor, wife, mother and all-around jolly little German lady. Brigitte Gertrud Elise Ella Jilbert (nee, Trebbin) held many jobs throughout her life, foreign language secretary, retail clerk, school bus driver, and newspaper carrier. She loved most often making clothes and costumes for her family and friends. For those that knew her and her family, her baking was legendary. Her cakes and cookies were enjoyed by all.

Brigitte is survived by her brother, Wolfhard (Beate) Trebbin; husband, Ed; children, Nicole (Kyle Pipkins) Jilbert, Stephan (Jessica Murnane) Jilbert, and Annette (Chris) Gourlie; and grandchildren, Eleanor Pipkins and Megan Gourlie. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, with a short time of remembrance concluding the service at 2 p.m.
