Gerald W. Walker, 97, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away in Lititz, Pennsylvania on August 15, 2024. He was a resident at Landis Homes Communities, after he and his wife, Frances, relocated there in 2022.

Gerald was born on July 27, 1927 to Robah Wesley and Clara Mabel Walker in Forsyth County. He had four brothers and two sisters. In June 1947, he married Frances Louise Bowman. Gerald began his career in banking at Wachovia Bank in June, 1946, and after more than 43 years of employment, he retired from the bank in 1990 as Vice President and Head Equity Trader. As a long-standing member of Ardmore Moravian Church, he served on various boards through the years. He was also active in The United Way.

He is survived by Frances, his wife of 77 years, of Lititz, Pennsylvania; his son, Rick Walker, wife Heidi, and their sons – Jeremy Walker (wife Shalisa) and Ryan Walker (wife Christina) and three great-grandchildren, all of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; his daughter Lori Lamb, husband Daryl, and their son – Christopher (wife Alexis), all of Colorado.

Gerald and Frances will have a joint graveside memorial service on April 25, 2026 at 2:00pm at Forsyth Memorial Park.
