Chad Michael Hunter, 36 of Stollings, WV left this world Saturday, August 17, 2024. Chad was born April 14, 1988, in Charleston, WV to Dallas and Diana Hunter. Chad was the grandson of Delores (Emil) White-Tackett, William (Diane) Dilly, and Truby and Thelma Hunter.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents: Delores and Emil Tackett of Peach Creek, WV, Truby and Thelma Hunter of Mt. Gay, WV, and his uncle William David Dilly of West Logan, WV.

Chad was a 2006 graduate of Logan High School and then graduated from Southern Community and Technical College in 2008 with an associate’s degree in electrical engineering. He worked as an operator at M&C Services, Inc. During his youth and school years, Chad was active in Church, Baseball, Football, Basketball, Boy Scouts, and Karate. Chad was known for his friendly personality, willingness to always help others, and his love for family and friends. He had a love for the outdoors and was at his happiest being with his kids at the family cabin fishing, hunting, and riding Dirt Bikes & ATV’s.

Those to cherish his memory are his parents, Dallas and Diana Hunter of Stollings, WV; his Children: Chad Hunter Jr., Jaxon Hunter, and Isabella Hunter of Stollings, WV; a brother, Matthew Hunter of Huntington, WV; an uncle, Joey Tackett of Los Angeles, CA; two cousin (who he consider a brother and sister), Stephen (Amber) Dilly of Huntington, WV and Amber (Ben) Keyser of Stollings, WV; a grandfather, William (Diane) Dilly of Washington, DC; his great aunt, Florine (Moosie) White – Murray of Nashville, TN; and many other family and friends.

Services will be conducted at Noon Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, WV with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating. The burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.

Friends can call between Noon and 1pm on August 24, 2024, with the Funeral Service following immediately after.
