Lisa Marie Beckage, 62, of Throop, passed away Saturday morning at home after a courageous battle with heart disease and cancer surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Beckage.
Lisa was a loving, spontaneous, spirited woman whose energy could light up a room. Her sense of humor was contagious. She was extremely creative in the kitchen and a natural with flowers and plants. She had a crazy sixth sense and was spot on with her predictions. No one loved their children and grandchildren quite like her. Her light will never fade from our hearts.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the former Gwendolyn Mullins and the late Dr. Anthony J. Gentile. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Most recently, she was employed by Aveanna Healthcare and Traditional Home Health as a direct support professional.
Also surviving are daughters, Tara Beckage, Scranton; Nicole Mancuso and husband, Derek, Dunmore; and Jessica Beckage and companion, Nicholas DeSando, Spring Brook Twp.; her son, Thomas Beckage, Spring Brook Twp.; grandchildren, Gabriella, Gia, Gulianna, Enzo, Aria and Nicholas; sisters, Pamela Gentile, San Francisco; Angela Gentile, Dunmore; and Mary Bull and husband, Stirling; niece, Lilly Bull, Waldorf, Md.; her brother, Joseph Gentile and wife, Cindy; nephew, Robert Gentile, Dunmore; nephew, Matthew Gentile and wife, Colleen, Bristol, Pa.; her aunt, Simone Gentile, Mount Cobb; cousins, Jeff and Chris Gentile, Jefferson Twp.; Gregory and Bridget Gentile, Mount Cobb; and Jill and Randy Jaggars, Moscow.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Toni Ann Beckage; aunt, Frances Gentile; uncle, Fred Gentile; aunt, Doris Lester; and uncle, Elza Lester.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
