Ronald J. Davis Obituary

Ronald James Davis age 77 of Ashland WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 17th, 2024

Ron was born on November 7th , 1946 in Ashland Wi, the son of Emil and Ann (Holevatz). He married his high school sweetheart Jeanette Mours on June 5th 1965. After 58 years of marriage, Jeanette passed away on January 20 of this year with Ron by her side.

Ron is survived by his 3 children Kim (Don) Terry, Duke Davis , Max (Carley) Davis; grandchildren, Davis, Aidan (Dylan) Cameron, Charlotte, Maeve, and Maryn; brothers David (Lorraine), Kenneth (Phyllis) , and Dustin (Judy).

After graduating high school, he started his career as a plumber. In 1982, Ron and Jeanette owned and operated Davis Plumbing & Heating until retiring in 2010. After Jeanette’s bone marrow transplant in 2010, Ron spent the next 14 years taking care of her with compassion and without complaint. He was an avid Wisconsin sports teams’ fan from the Badgers to the Brewers to the Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go! He worked tirelessly to perfect his game of golf but to no avail. He was a war history buff and enjoyed books, movies, and documentaries on this topic.

But his biggest success was how he loved his family. He continually advocated and encouraged those he loved most. Many times, at family gatherings he would get choked up at how wonderful it was to be surrounded by his loved ones often saying “I’m having a moment” as tears of gratitude filled his eyes.

At this time there is no plan for a memorial service, but we will let family and friends know if those plans change.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
