Zachariah T. Durr Jr. 68, of Erie passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024.  He was born to the late Zachariah Sr and Gwendolyn (Lamar)Durr on August 27, 1955.

Zack was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie, PA. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged after serving 8 years. Zack worked at GE and Hammermill but spent most of his career as an Independent Contractor. 

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved fishing, was very competitive when playing cards and dominos and enjoyed listening to the Blues. He will be most remembered for his excellent, outstanding carpentry skills and providing his services throughout the Erie community. 

He is survived by four sisters Marrion, Janis and Cathy Durr and Bonita Durr McNeill all of Erie, Pa; and 1 brother Gregory Durr of Erie. He had 2 children who were his world Darien Durr of Virginia Beach, VA and Jasmine Durr of Erie, PA He was a proud papa of 6 grandchildren: Mya, Marcel, Fabian and Gabrielle of Virginia Beach, Isabele Pope and Raja Durr Jordan of Erie, PA. He will also be sadly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to Davis – Garr Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. 459 East 12th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16503 on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
