Greenwood, SC- John Calvin Holloway, 88, of 218 Cannon Road, widower of Corrie Holloway, transitioned from earth to heaven on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont. Born in Edgefield, South Carolina he was the son of the late Johnie Cain Rearden, and the late Josie Mae Holloway Moore. He was a member of Bethel Bible Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by two children, Maurice Holloway, and Lutrean Holloway.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Rev. Randy (Bridget) Holloway of Greenwood, SC; three daughters, Sharon (James) Saxon of Greenwood, SC, Joretta (Johnny) Anderson of Newport News, VA, and Deborah (Donald) Parks of Greenwood, SC; one daughter-in-law, Dr. Mary Holloway of Lexington, SC; two brothers, George Edward (Jean) Moore of Johnston, SC and William (Jennie) Moore of Edgefield, SC; three sisters, Thelma Holloway, Ruby Pearl White, and Doris Turner all of Edgefield, SC; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Bethel Bible Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Randy Holloway. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Visitors will be received at the home. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
