It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, Nancy Doyle (age 70). Nancy passed away on August 16, 2024, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Truro on April 11, 1954, she was raised in Alton until the loss of her parents, Evelyn and Franklyn Geddes (Murphy). She was then raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Shirley and Lawrence Wynn of Brookfield.
Survived by her daughters, Karrie and Jenny Doyle, whom she loved with her whole being. She was so proud of the strong bonds they have.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Arthur “Butch” Doyle and her brother, Blaine Geddes (Belinda) who have been, and continue to be a very important part in our lives.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain. Even after years of suffering with arthritis, she still took pride in creating beautiful pieces of art, whether that was painting, cross stitching, rug hooking, knitting, needle punching, and the list goes on. She loved her little Pomeranian, Mylo, whom she lost in 2020 but continued to talk about almost daily.
Please know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate this heartbreaking moment.
A graveside service with family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 3 p.m. in the Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill, NS.
A reception will follow the graveside service from 4-6 p.m. in the Bible Hill Fire Hall.
