Bennie Calhoun Johnson Obituary

B.C. Johnson was born in St. Stephen to Lucius and Effie Johnson in 1944 and most recently celebrated his 80th birthday. From the day he married Maggie in 1964 he proudly accepted his role as provider and defender of his family and home. When times got hard, he worked harder- allowing his Gal Maggie to stay home to love and guide their children. He was an avid gardener, a skilled pipefitter and welder, and he loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. Though he was a strong man as life demanded of him, his tenderness really shone through when spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will live on in the hearts and memories of his wife, Maggie L. Coker Johnson, children, Annie and Jimmy Martin and their children James, Krystina (TJ), Patrick, Jonathan (Laurin), and grandchildren Dylan, Connor, Hudson;  Lenora and Carl Wiggins and their children Carey (Sydney), Chase (Megan), and grandchildren KJ, Ryleigh, Waylon, Callie and expected new arrival; Trevor Johnson and Veronica Seeley and children Kayla (Dustin), Baylie (Nick), and grandchildren Delilah and Hadley; Janice and Alex McCollum and children Chloe (Ricky), Colby, Cassidy (Austin), Caleb, AJ, grandson Hunter and expected new arrival; Shellie and James Dorton and children Haley (Sidney), Thomas (Casey), grandson Clayton and expected new arrival; Carlton Johnson and Justin Cooley; Nicole and Kevin Worth.
