James Frederick Chapman, 72, of Skaneateles passed away Saturday, August 17th at Auburn Community Hospital of multiple medical complications.
A lifelong resident, Jim was a graduate of Skaneateles Central School and Cornell University with a BS in Agronomy. He worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service, Miller Brewing/ Owens-Illinois, and farmed part time. Jim loved farming, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by a brother Tom (Nancy) of Hawarden, Iowa, and nieces Tammy (Aneesh) Ghimire and Tracy (Charles) Stuart and nephew James (Olivia) Chapman with 4 great nephews and nieces.
We wish to also acknowledge Jim's handful of close, life-time friends as a treasured addition to his life.
