William H. Gamble was born on March 22, 1944 in Monroe, Michigan to Harvey and Caryle Gamble. William, who resided in Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away on August 17, 2024 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Shirley Gamble. Loving father of Nicole (Gary) Dziadosz, William K. (Maria) Gamble, the late Jon R. Gamble and the late Bryan Gamble. Dear brother of Richard Gamble and Janet O’Connor. Dearest grandfather of Ronald Gamble, Natalie Yap, Sarah Gamble, Jon Gamble, and Evelyn Gamble. William was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Caryle Gamble and his siblings Harvey Gamble Jr., Judith Gamble, and Robert Gamble. William was a Knight (4th Degree) of the Knights of Columbus for nearly 14 years. He was an avid bowler and coached Little League Football and hockey. He was known for being an armchair football/hockey addict. William loved good food, beer, and going to wineries. William enjoyed traveling and was a truck driver for 50 years. Even with dementia, he knew how to get everywhere. William will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. In state Saturday 9:30 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
