On August 17, 2024, Robert Caballero was called to be with our Lord. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sylvia Caballero; his son, Andrew Caballero, and daughter-in-law, Erica Caballero; his daughter, Veronica Caballero; and his grandchildren, Miranda Elise Cano and Edward Tomas Cano—the loves of his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Andres Elizardo of Houston.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Maria Luisa Caballero; his birth mother, Janie Soto; his sisters, Ruby Sanchez, Carmen Petrovich, Esther Elizardo, and Mary Jane Ramos; and his brother, Charlie Elizardo. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at Salinas’ Crematory. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert’s life at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave, Raymondville, TX 78580.
