Roger Lee Roark, 76, a retired Captain for the Clarksdale Police Department, died August 17, 2024, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. He served his country in the US Army as a MP. Visitation is Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00pm Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Hinds Chapel Church Cemetery in Nesbit, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Rollin Roark of Horn Lake, MS; son Roger (Lisa) Roark of Horn Lake, MS; brother Edroe (Rebecca) Farmer of Pontotoc, MS; sisters Eva Wiltire (Billy Miller) of Marvell, AR, Charlene (Michael) Davenport of Clarksdale, MS; grandchildren Kayla Roark, Madison Roark, Trey Roark.
Preceded in death by his father Frances M. "Randy" Roark; son Randall "Bucky" Roark; Mother Lucy Canoy Farmer; stepfather Roscoe Farmer; brother Drew Farmer, Sr.; sisters Anne Stevenson, Florence Ray.
