Debrah Ann Champion, age 61, of Charlotte, Michigan, passed away with her family by her side on August 16, 2024, under the loving care of the staff at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Debrah was born in Hudson, Michigan, on May 29, 1963, the daughter of David and Jill Wright. She was a hard worker who was very devoted to her work as laborer and factory worker. As a mother of three, Debrah loved and adored her family especially her grandchildren and her big cats. In her free time, she loved to crochet and knit. Debrah will be remembered as a fighter who never gave up. She stood up for what she believed and for whom she loved.
Debrah is survived by her parents, David Merton and Jill Ann Wright; children: Chad Besser, Sherri (Cody) Wainscott, and Angela (Andrew) Champion; grandchildren: Isabella (Devin) Hale, Caitlin Besser, Aaliyah Wainscott, Hunter Robinson, Jaxson Uhl, M’Kenna Uhl and Lakota Champion; great-granddaughter, Ellie; and a great-grandson due in December 2024. She is also survived by her siblings, David (Kari) Wright and Deana Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Wright; grandparents: Guy and Norine Myers and Willard and Beulah Wright; uncles Ronald Wright and Dudley Myers; along with other family and friends who have passed on before her.
A memorial service celebrating Debrah's life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate those wishing to donate direct memorial contributions to the family to help with final expenses.
