Karen L. (Taylor) Stenger, 57, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 after a lengthy illness at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 16, 1966 in Sandusky to Donald and Ann (Stith) Taylor.
Karen was a very loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. She graduated from Sandusky High School, Class of 1985. Karen was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan. She loved her dogs, Jake and Joy. In her free time, she enjoyed driving around in her Jeep “Frostbite” and “ducking” other Jeeps.
Karen is survived by her husband, Edward Stenger; mother, Ann C. Taylor, of Sandusky; father, Donald C. Taylor, of Hinesville, GA; children, Ashley (Rob) LaRochelle, Andy (Shanda) Brown, Mark Brown, Jeremy Brown, and Chris Brown; grandchildren, Justin, Lucas, Jermiah, Haylee, Lily, and Liam; siblings, Jerry Taylor and Kim (Andy) Baum Taylor; nieces, Tiffany and Abygail; nephew, Corey; and many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Allen Taylor, in infancy; niece, Bailey Ann Taylor, in infancy; nephew Donnie W. Taylor; brothers, Michael S. Taylor and Donald E. Taylor; and her dogs, Jazzy and Jewel.
Visitation will take place from 5-7 pm on Thursday, August 22 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A funeral service will begin at 7 pm with Rev. Ken Hiser officiating. Cremation will follow. Condolences may be shared online at toftfuneralhome.com.
