Alvin L. Juilfs, 95, of Beatrice passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born on June 15, 1929, at Strackholt, Ostfriesland, Germany. He moved to Beatrice in March of 1952 and returned to Germany where he married Christel Gabbert on October 2, 1958, at Aurich, Oldendorf, Germany. They then moved to Beatrice. He worked at Schottlers for ten years until 1962 and then was the owner/operator of Juilf's Custom Cabinets. He married Sharon Curtis on May 5, 1995, at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He is a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice where he has served as an usher and did volunteer work. He was also a member of UCT.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Beatrice; one son, John (Melanie) Juilfs of Tahlequah, OK; daughter, Karen Heath of Lincoln; six grandchildren; eight great­ grandchildren; three stepchildren, Shawn (Lisa) St. Louis of Friend, Paul (Michelle) St. Louis of Staplehurst and Carrie Olson of Lincoln; six step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gertrude Juilfs of Germany; brother-in-law, John Porter of France; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johann and Catharina Schottler Juilfs; his first wife Christel, who died April 28, 1993; sisters, Anke, Kate, Margarete (Paul) Bodenberg, and Beate Porter; brothers, Christian Juilfs, Ludwig (Wanda) Juilfs and Gerhard (Ingrid) Juilfs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Renae Koehler. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Thursday prior to the service. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
