Elda Jean Rehonic, 89, of Canonsburg, passed away on  August 17, 2024, in McMurray Hills Manor.  
Jean, as she preferred to be called, resided at Heritage House in Houston for over 21 years.
She was born on July 16, 1935, in North Hampton, Ohio, a daughter of Samuel and Grace Kerner Campbell.
After graduating from Canonsburg High School in 1953, she worked in her hometown, Canonsburg, at Isaly's, Harris' Workingman Store, the Tiny Store, and lastly King's Restaurant.
In the 1970's and 1980's, Jean wrote a column called the "Westend News" for the Canonsburg Daily Note newspaper.
She always had a way with words.
Jean deeply loved her sons, grandchildren, and her entire family.
Surviving are eight sons, Jeffrey (Debra) Huseman, Sr, Robert Rehonic, Jr., Michael (Becky) Rehonic, John Rehonic, Stephen Rehonic, Daniel Rehonic, Gary (Heather) Rehonic, and Ryan Rehonic; six grandchildren, Jeff Jr. (Jen), Cody, Arielle, Jordan, Jennifer, and Alec; two great-granddaughters, Shelby and Anastasia; cousin Donna (James) Filby; and numerous cousins and extended family.
Her passions in life were her many cats, Town Park swimming pool, reading her 100 of thousands of books, summertime, and lastly SNPJ Monday night button box Polkas with Ray McCartney by her side.
Jean will sadly be missed by all who knew her.
