Mary M. Brechbiel Obituary

Mary M. Brechbiel, 93, formerly of Mapleton Depot, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the home of her daughter in Calvin, PA.

Born on May 3, 1931 in Cass Township, Huntingdon County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Loyal and Minnie (Shope) Bowman.  She was united in marriage to Roy Brechbiel on February 14, 1959.  Mr. Brechbiel preceded in death on April 2, 2006.

Mary is survived by son Rex Brechbiel and wife Sandy, Three Springs, PA, daughter Jacquita Bliss and husband Tim, Calvin, PA and daughter-in-law Marla Brechbiel, Mapleton Depot, PA.  She is also survived by grandchildren Miranda, Emilee, Matthew, Colby, Samantha, Heidi, Katrina, Shelly and Kelly and great-grandchildren Maddalynn, Colson and Emmett.

She was preceded in death by son Max Brechbiel on November 18, 2011.

Mrs. Brechbiel attended Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Saltillo, PA.

During her lifetime, she was primarily a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary Street, Cassville, PA with Pastor Dan Long officiating.  Interment will be at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton Depot, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
