Robert Paul Applegate, age 83 years, of West Union, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born January 15, 1941 in Tollesboro, KY to the late Charles L. & Gertrude (Rouse) Applegate. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Jane (McAdow) Applegate.

Mr. Applegate was a pharmacist at Blakes Pharmacy for 55 years; a dual member of West Union Lodge #43 & Manchester Lodge #317; Past Master of West Union Lodge #43 & a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Cincinnati.

Survivors include his daughter Jill Applegate of West Union; sister Cecilia Knox of Dayton; brother Freddie Applegate & Brenda of Xenia; niece Cindy Mays; nephews Greg Knox & Brian Applegate; special friend Randy Mack of West Union.  

Masonic & Scottish Rites services by Randy Mack, with funeral to follow will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery with graveside military services provided by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm. Services are entrusted to Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Adams County Humane Society.
