Jammy Lynn Young, 56, passed away on August 17, 2024 at his home in Louisburg. Jammy was born on November 29, 1967 to Evelyn Perry Young and the late Nick Young. In addition to his father, Jammy was preceded in death by his first wife, Shannon Young; and a brother, Gary Young.

Jammy is survived by his wife, Katherine Ward Young; his sons, Cody Young (Brittney), Colton Young (Loganne), and Ethan Young; his step-daughter, Laura Owens (Chris); his grandson, Brody Young; his mother, Evelyn Perry Young, his siblings, Joni Jeffreys (Donovan), and Tracy Young; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his three dachshunds, Sprinkles, Kiwi, and Memphis.

Friends and family will be received at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services from 7:00-8:30 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery , with Reverend Melton Tyson officiating.

Jammy was known for his sense of humor and how he loved to joke around with friends. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Duke Blue Devils fan. He could often be found at a ballfield or pickleball court in his free time, usually with his sons or grandson. Jammy was a great artist and created drawings for many family members. He loved history especially relating to the Civil War. Above all else, Jammy loved spending time with his family.
