Cynthia Lewis, 88, of Bristol RI died Sunday August 11, 2024. Cynthia shared a long and loving marriage of 56 years with her late husband Burt G. Lewis who preceded her in death in March, 2015.

Born in York, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of Walter and Ann Galazzi. Cynthia was a graduate of Hastings, New York High School and received an A.B. in Biology from Brown University. She lived in multiple locations in New York with her husband before moving to Bristol in 2001. Her career started as a biology lab technician and she held office manager positions in multiple industries.

There was not much that Cynthia did not enjoy doing. She loved sailing both large and small sailboats with her husband Burt both on the eastern end of Long Island and Narragansett Bay. Gardening, walking, visiting museums, going out to eat and travel were some of her favorite pastimes. She had a great sense of humor, was abundantly kind, and had the most fabulous hair.

She is survived by two children, Suzanne Lewis of Milton, MA and Robert Lewis of Brooklyn, NY.
