Graveside service will be 2 PM Tuesday for Alicia Kay Poore, age 72 of Southside, at William-Southside Cemetery with Rev. Roger Wagner officiating the service. Family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Monday Night at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home.

Mrs. Poore passed August 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Dorothy Vineyard; sisters: Barbara Jones and Brenda Anderson; brother: Calvin Sherrell Vineyard.

Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Kay Poore are her husband: John Poore; sons: Kevin (Geimy) Poore and Calvin (Donna) Poore; grandchildren: Courtnei (Justin) Payton, Caitlyn Douglass, Samantha Poore, Ashley Poore, and Shawna Poore; great-grandchildren: Luka Payton and Jayda Alstott; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kay was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She was a 1970 graduate of Southside High School. She received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from the Gadsden Business College. She retired from AT&T after 20 years. She loved to can vegetables, cook and enjoyed dog training.
