Of Churchill, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Born on May 8,1934, son of the late William S. Ford, II and the late Bernice (Deham) Ford.
Beloved husband of Patricia (Smith) Ford for 41 wonderful years.
Preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia Kane and William (late Mary Jane) Ford.
Also survived by four nieces and one nephew.
Jerry was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School, where he excelled as a student and an athlete. He went on to attend Duquesne University where he obtained a B.A. in Liberal Arts, and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Society. Jerry worked as a real estate specialist for the Department of Transportation and was a member of the American Right of Way Association for 13 years. He was also employed with the Cauley Detective Agency, located in the PPG Building in Pittsburgh for 28 years prior to his retirement at age 78. Jerry enjoyed taking cruises and vacationing. Jerry loved the game of golf, and treasured the memories shared with Pat throughout the couples golf leagues they were affiliated with. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Bellevue for seven years and was a faithful member of St. John Fisher Church in Churchill since 1983.
Friends are welcome on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. John Fisher Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish), 33 Lewin Lane, Churchill, PA 15235, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m.
Jerry will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
