August N. Kollmer passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 17 th 2024.


He was born on September 11th , 1938 to Eugenia and Henry Kollmer along with his 6 brothers and sisters; Danny, Kitty, Henry, Andy, Willy, and Anna; they were a farming family in Hicksville, NY. He attended St. Ignatius Catholic School.


He served in the Army at West Point from 1963- 1965. He valued family and friends highly; often telling stories of his time growing up on the farm and from his time served. He was kind to everyone and loved sharing memories of hunting, drag racing, and building homes. He spent his later life in the mountains, enjoying his beautiful property in upstate New York.


He is survived by his children August (Beth), Pamela (Matt), his sister Anna, his 4 grandchildren and his many friends, nieces, and nephews.
