Christina Dawn “Christie” (Clower) Johnson, age 51 of Romney, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the comfort of her home after a hard fight with cancer.

Born August 12, 1973 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of Roy C. Clower and the late Susan K. (Payne) “Susie” Clower. Besides her mother, Christie is preceded in death by her Pappy and Granny, Glen and Elizabeth Payne; and her Grandad and NanNan, Eugene and Pauline Clower; as well as her beloved Koda-Doo.

Besides her father, Christie is survived by her older brother, Robie Clower and wife Angie; her twin brother, Chad Clower; her son, Joseph Clower; her grandson, Jakson Clower; and her significant other, Jeffrey Hott. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Christie graduated from Hampshire High School in 1991. She always kept busy managing her dad’s trucking business and working at her decal shop supplying decals to a family full of racecar and go-kart drivers. She also held jobs at 7-11, FNB Bank, and Romney Diner.

Christie was one of a kind. She never met a stranger. She loved her kitty cats and driving her jeep. She had a soft spot for animals and could always make you laugh. One thing she always enjoyed was making others feel good about themselves. She was a wild child and had a genuine soul. To know Christie, was to love Christie.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM at Covenant Baptist Church in Romney. Services for Christie will immediately follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Dale Myers officiating. Inurnment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in Romney.
