Elaine Yniguez, age 66, of Sunnyvale, TX, went to be with the Lord, August 17, 2024 and was surrounded by her immediate family. She passed away after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born January 7, 1958, in Terrell, TX to Frank and Edith Brooks.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; sons, Brett and Brian; brother, Steve

Brooks and wife Carla; sisters-in law Kristie Vincent and husband Duane, Melanie Willard, Lori Ray and husband, Mark, and Mandy Yniguez; uncle Doug Blagburn and aunt Betty Blagburn; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Elaine graduated from Mesquite High School in 1976 and graduated from East Texas State University in 1979. Elaine spent many years in education at Mesquite ISD and finished at Dallas Christian High School. Wayne and Elaine were married March 15, 1980 in Mesquite.

She loved her church and was a life-long involved member of Mesquite Church of Christ. Elaine had a passion for hiking and spent a lot of time in Crested Butte, Colorado.

Elaine has finished the race and will now spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven. Memorial services are scheduled for 1 pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Mesquite Church of Christ, 400 W. Davis St., Mesquite, TX.
