Kay Runyon, 73, of Sayre passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents, Russell (Joice) Gochenaur and Marie (Richard) McManus; sister, Marry Robbins; and son-in-law, Mark Fusare.

Kay is survived by her significant other, Joaquin Tafur of Sayre; her children, Michael (Katherine) Gochenaur of Scottdale, PA, Kenneth (Anna) Runyon of Waverly and Melisa Fusare of Sayre; her siblings, Beatrice (Charles) Rakich of Benton, PA, Paul (Sylvia) Gochenaur of Benton, PA and Robin (Brock) McDuffee of Waverly, NY; brother-in-law, Larry Robbins; her 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kay was born in Sayre, PA and graduated from Sayre High School in the Class of 1969. She worked as a bartender at several local bars and was a drug and alcohol counselor. She enjoyed crocheting, Facebook games, having sleepovers with her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was always the most sarcastic woman in the room.
