It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Magen Alexandria Westberry announce her sudden and tragic passing on August 17, 2024.

Magen was the daughter of the late Matthew Westberry and Amanda Hall Barr.  She was born on May 19, 2003, in Orangeburg, S.C.  Magen never met a stranger.  She was truly a social butterfly that enjoyed hanging out with her friends and going to the river.  She was beautiful on the inside and outside; her smile could brighten your day.  Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Amanda Barr (Michael); sisters, Deseray Davis (Karl), Cindy Blackburn (Tyler); brother, McCoy Barr; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Hall; nieces, Ava Rouse, Briar Davis; nephew, Liam Blackburn; cousin, Kayla Oates and additional family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Matthew Westberry, paternal grandmother, Angie Westberry and her maternal great-grandfather, Clyde Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 727 Waterspring Road, Orangeburg. Pastor Trey Atkinson will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street Orangeburg.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Karl Davis, Tyler Garrett, Michael Wood, Aiden Westberry, Brandon Burnett and Justin Cope.
