Betty Lou Haddle Obituary

Boardman - Betty Lou Haddle, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday evening August 17 with her loving family by her side. 

She was born January 9, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of Fritz and Ruth Carlson Zetterquist.  After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1953, she went to work in the shoe department at G.M. McKelvey’s downtown store, and afterwords worked for G.C. Murphy’s.  She was very active in her church, Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, financial secretary, and a choir member.  Betty Lou was an avid Cleveland sports team fan and enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her husband Donald, whom she married July 2, 1955, passed away September 24, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, James (Becky) Haddle, Dean (Marilyn) Haddle and Linda (Jim) Uscianowski, sister Donna (John) Kaluza, grandchildren Michelle (Alan) Dattilio, Melissa (Louie) Schmidt, Bethany (Lauren) Haddle, Kyle (Andrew) Haddle and Zack Uscianowski, and great grandchildren Dominic Schmidt, Nathan Dattilio, Jacob Dattilio and Emma Haddle.

Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M., Tuesday August 20 at the Fox Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 2 P.M. 

Betty Lou’s family wishes to thank her wonderful neighbors and the staff at the Hospice House for their compassionate care, and they respectfully suggest material tributes be made in her name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
