Mary Michelina Reisman, a former resident of Mt. Vernon and Eastchester, Ny, died peacefully on August 17, 2024 at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry. She was 99 years old. Born on April 24, 1925 at 30 N. 5th Avenue in Mt. Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Grace Guglielmino Mascari. She attended Our Lady of Victory School and was graduated from Mount Vernon High School and then from the Berkeley School of Business in Manhattan in 1943. On April 12, 1947 she married Robert Philip Reisman at Our Lady of Victory Church in Mt. Vernon.
She worked for the Mt. Vernon Board of Education from 1968 until her retirement in 1988. She was an active parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Mt. Vernon for many years. In 2005 she and Bob moved to Eastchester and became parishioners and daily communicants at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. Mary was a cheerful and optimistic woman who was devoted to her daily prayers. She loved to cook and travel, and enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with her children, grandchildren, cousins and many friends. She is survived by three sons, Robert C. (Kathy) of Easton, PA., Richard P. (Caroline) of Fishkill, NY and Deacon Paul P. Reisman (Maria) of Eastchester, 9 grandchildren (Eric, Jennifer, Christopher, Lisa, Kevin, Mary Grace, Annalisa, Charles, Dominic) and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2012, as well as two brothers, Frank and Joseph Mascari.
