Giuseppina (Troiano) Carbone, 80, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Puglianello, Italy on January 27,1944 to the late Francesco and Filomena (Guarnieri) Troiano. She married the love of her life and best friend, Vittorio Carbone in 1964 and made the journey to the U.S. in 1966, settling in Hamden, CT.
Giuseppina was a seamstress by trade, but her greatest joy was cooking for her family and friends. “Nonna”, as she was known to those who loved her, made sure no one ever left the house hungry. She could feed a huge crowd if given 30 minutes notice.
Giuseppina leaves behind her two sons whom she was so proud of; Gerry Carbone and his wife Terry, and Frank Carbone and his wife Keri; five precious grandchildren, Jason Carbone and his wife Gina, Marissa Hayes and her husband Alex, Samantha Carbone and her fiancé Russell Edeen, Frankie and Vinnie Carbone along with three beautiful great grandchildren Gennaro and Giuliana Carbone and Luca Hayes who brought so much joy to her life. She also leaves behind her brother Saturno (Nino) Troiano and his wife Maria along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Sharon, Joanne, Sonya and Lucy for their unwavering support by providing comfort to Giuseppina and her entire family.
The family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 9AM- 10:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in North Haven.
