Francis R. "Bob" Kerrigan Obituary
F. Robert “Bob” Kerrigan of Wilmette, IL passed away on August 17th at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary (nee Toolan), his siblings, Bill (the late Nancy), Mary Pat, Kathy, and Jerry, and his nephew, Bill.
Bob is survived by his children Patrick (Mariclare), Peggy (Chris) McNulty, Michael (Elly), Daniel, and Tim (Kathy).
He loved his children very much but nothing made him happier than the addition of grandchildren to his life. Bob is the much-adored grandfather of Bobby (Shana), Eddie ( Hailey), Conor, and Aidan Kerrigan; Kerrigan, Chip (Chrissy), Breandan, Patrick (Veronica Garcia) and Ellie McNulty; Grace (Charlie) Chilla, Emma, and Macklin Kerrigan; Emmanual Kerrigan.
Bob was gifted with eight great-grandchildren who lit up his life; Frances, Rennie, and Ace McNulty; Oliver McNulty Garcia; Miles McNulty; Emmanual Jr., Melody, and Gianna Kerrigan.
Bob is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Kerrigan, his many nieces and nephews, their spouses and their children.
Bob welcomed the foster children of his son, daughter, and granddaughter with open arms. His kind and gentle manner was a balm to each one and he treated them like his own. Left to cherish his memory are Juan, Christopher, Austin, William, Elijah, and Cameron among many others.
After his wife Mary died in 2016, an angel arrived in the person of Jane Ochotorena. Her love and care over the last 8 ½ years, allowed him to live at home with comfort and dignity and for that, we are eternally grateful.
Visitation Thursday, August 22, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Services, 10045 Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, IL 60077.
Funeral Mass Friday, August 23, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Saints Joseph and Francis Xavier Parish at Saint Joseph Church, 1747 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091.
