Ernest Lee Owen, 81, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at home with his family by his side.

Ernest was born April 13, 1943 in Macksburg,Ohio to father, preceded in death, Everett Lee Owen and mother, preceded in death, Hilda Mae (Antill) Owen. He shared his life with his wife, preceded in death, Sarah Christine (Forrer) Owen for 50 plus years, along with his children. He had a great love for cars and horses as a younger man and loved mowing, tending to lawns in his golden years. We celebrate the time we shared with Ernest and thank God for allowing us to share our lives with him.

His survivors include his 4 children, Robert Lee Owen, Shelia May (Frazier) Owen, Charles (Marlana) Owen, and Teresa Marie Owen. 5 grandchildren, Cody, Ashley, Katrina, Charles, and Brandon. A handful of great grandchildren, along with his sister, LaVonne Sue (Silva) Owen, and brother, Lewis Dale (Mary Ann) Owen.

A small graveside celebration will be held at the Rittman Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio on Friday August 23, 2024 at 11:00am.
