It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Ruby Lucy Angela Murphy of Fortune (formerly of Lawn) announces her passing. Ruby passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at the age of 74.

Leaving to mourn with many year of wonderful memories are her caregiver and friend, Vanessa Thornhill (Troy) and family of Fortune; as well as her good friend, Kate Edwards of Lawn; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Ruby was predeceased by her partner, George Hillier; her parents, John and Kathleen Murphy; brother, Johnny Murphy.

At Ruby's request cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on:

Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 2:00PM

at The Roman Catholic Cemetery in Fortune.

In Ruby's memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre-Dialysis Unit.
