Paul Gayheart, 85, of Lexington, KY passed away on Saturday, August 17th at the VA Hospital. He was born in Northern Kentucky on September 20, 1938 to the late Crittenden and Phoebe Bradley Gearheart. Paul served 8 years in the U.S Air Force and retired from the city of Toledo, Ohio. He loved playing the guitar, going to Keeneland, spending time with family and friends, and dancing with Wanda at Thursday Night Live. He is survived by his loving and caregiving wife, Wanda Gayheart; his children, Paula Rogers (Ben), and Michelle Page (Jeremy); grandchildren, Madison Leigh Rogers and Logan Ross Page; siblings, June Ducote, Lois Gearheart, Joyce Maca, and Larry Gayheart; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Savilla Pittman; a special niece, Carol Ann Hunt; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Ted Gearheart, Garnet May, Maxine Turnley, Dale Gearheart, Don Gearheart, Sheila Maggard, Bobby Gayheart and Ralph Gayheart. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2 PM at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main Street. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, August 22 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at The Lexington Cemetery.
