Gerard Charles Tweedy, 89, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024. Mr. Tweedy was born January 26, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late James William and the late Anna (nee Creagh) Tweedy.
He served in the United States Navy and then was employed as Longshoreman for many years with Local 1814.
Mr. Tweedy is survived by his beloved wife Elsie (nee Kullen) Tweedy.
Devoted father of Caroline Tweedy and Gerard Tweedy (Rita.)
Loved grandfather of Gerard Thomas Tweedy (Kelly.)
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 20 from 2:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Wednesday, August 21 at Visitation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary RCC, 98 Richards Street, Brooklyn, NY.
Burial to immediately follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
