It is with sadness and with appreciation for a life well lived, the family of Susan Jane Cogswell announce her passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday August 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on April 25, 1964, she was the daughter of Barbara (Nordstrom) MacNeil of Saint John and the late Allan J. MacNeil.

Sue was the center and the heart of her family; she was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and fought a courageous battle to the end. Spending time with family and friends was most important to her. When she loved, she loved hard. Sue put her whole heart into those she loved and her friends.  A talented baker, she delighted in cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. Her family has wonderful memories of traveling to Florida and the Caribbean. Sue worked for over 20 years with the former NCH Promotions now known Imar as a manager and supervisor, retiring early due to her diagnosis.

Loving, daughter, wife, mother, nan, sister, aunt and friend, those who knew and love Sue, will miss her forever.

Along with her mother Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Gary Cogswell, daughter Jessica Fudge (Kenny), son Bryan Cogswell; precious grandchildren Kaden Fudge, Kolton Fudge and Damian Cogswell; brothers Bobby MacNeil (Bettina) and Michael MacNeil (Colleen); nieces and nephew Kate, Alex, Rachel, Megan, Laura and Emily; mother-in-law Ruth Cogswell; many sisters in-law, brothers-in-law nieces, nephews; special sister-in-law Cindy Donovan (Robert), special niece Alicia Donovan; sister-in law Judy DeFazio and brother-in-law Paul Cogswell; cousins and many friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 21, 2024 from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation and will begin at 3:00 p.m.
