On Friday, August 9th, 2024, Christopher Jon Doyle passed away at his home in Lexington, South Carolina.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Dawn Marie (Doyle) Ureche.

Chris leaves behind his loving wife, Cortney Ann Doyle, their older daughter Ariel Nichole Helmick and son-in-law Private First Class Isaiah Escalate-Clare, and younger daughter Claire Elizabeth Helmick. He also leaves his brother Adam Ureche and his family, and his sister Rachel Doyle and her family. Chris will also be a noted missing member of his Army 54th Engineer Battalion family.

Chris lit up every moment he graced. His smile and laugh brought joy to the lives of all of those around him and the silly moments created memories that will live on in those who loved him. Of which, there are many.

Chris was a hard worker, an advocate for equality, and a lover of life and laughter. In his family, he found the endless love and devotion of which many can only dream. A lover and a fighter, Chris could not abide unfairness and took every opportunity to place himself on the side of the disadvantaged and needy. A man who would give his last dollar to a stranger and his everything to those he loved.

Chris’s six years of devotion to his army family was noteworthy, with two tours in Iraq: 2005-2006 and 2008-2009 with the 54th, ending with an honorable discharge in 2011. During his time, he and his battalion received many honors, including ARCOM Medal of Valor (ACMV), Meritorious Unit Commendation Award, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, to name only a few.

Chris will be missed by everyone who knew him and mourned by his wife and daughters for eternity.
