Peter Michael Battaglia, 89, of Manhasset, NY. Devoted husband and father passed away on August 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Peter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Josephine, son John and wife Ingrid, daughter Nancy and husband Mark Mickles. He was incredibly proud of his three grand children Emily, Christopher and Olivia.

Peter taught architectural drafting and building design for 25 years. He was very proud of his years of military service in the United States Army. He was an active member of many clubs and organizations: President of the Little Neck NY Lions Club. The Fraternal Order of Police. The Knights of Columbus. The Architectural Review Board of North Hills, NY as well as President of the Board of The Greens Condominium Complex where he resided.

Peter had a larger than life personality and a genuine ability to connect with people. More than anything he loved spending time with his family reminiscing during his favorite Sunday family dinners or on the porch of his lake house, which he designed and built, in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.

His absence leaves an unfillable void in all our lives. We miss and love you.
