Linda Lou Smith of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on August 12, 2024, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.
Linda Lou Smith was born on January 15, 1938, in Ipava, Illinois. She grew up in the Ipva area where she attended Ipava Public Schools. She married Russell Smith and they made their home in Ipava. In 1968 they moved to Apache Junction, Arizona. She served her family as a homemaker. In 1974 they moved to Mesa, Arizona, and she began at the school cafeteria. In 1999 she moved to Meeker, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Meeker Fist Baptist Church. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, crocheting, collecting chicken sculptures and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Tina; and one sister, Sonya Harper.
She was survived by her son, Tim Smith of Meeker; one daughter, Becky; four grandchildren, Misty, Amie, Kyle, and Chelsea; three great grandchildren, Olive, Parker and Raelyn; one special friend, Darla Clark; and her caretaker Renee.
In lieu of Flowers a memorial has been setup with the Shoe Box Ministry c/o First Baptist Church Meeker.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the New Hope Cemetery, in Meeker
A celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Meeker.
