Christine Pukula Gozder, 78 years of age, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024. She was born December 6, 1945, in Chicago, IL. The loving daughter of Edward and Irene Pukula. Christine is preceded in death by her mother Irene Rewers Pukula, Father Edward Pukula, her brother Ralph Pukula and her loving, beautiful daughter Deana Gozder Morgan.

Christine is survived by husband Paul of nearly 59 years. Also survived by her son Paul (Laurel) and granddaughters; Gillian, Grace and Gabrie. Also, survived by Gary Morgan, son-in-law. Daughter Jennifer Grimm, (Michael) grandchildren Rachael and Nathan, and great granddaughter, Angelina. Daughter Krissy Norgaard (Mike) grandchildren; Emma, Evan and Ella, and step-grandchildren Shauna and Brett.

Christine met Paul Gozder in the early 1960’s and they were married on October 2nd, 1965. After ten years in Chicago, Paul and Chrisine decided to move to Lemont. Building a beautiful home to raise their growing family. Christine was completely devoted to her family and friends. She nurtured and loved her children tirelessly. Working nights, getting the kids off to school and returning home to sleep, wake and repeat.

Christine lived life with love and devotion, taking great pride in her faith and church. Christine spent many hours at church volunteering as an extraordinary minister and counting collections. She also enjoyed many years singing in the church choir and participating in church functions. When she wasn’t working at the church, she was working at home caring and providing for her family. Christine made exceptional; golumpki (cabbage rolls), meatloaf, and the grandchildren will testify that Grandma made the best PB&J’s!

We understand that it was Christine’s time to rest, and she will be deeply missed. Our cherished memories along with the morals and values she installed in her children will live on forever.

Visitation will be held at Petkus Funeral Home Tuesday August 20, 2024 (3:00PM-8:00PM)

Service will be Wednesday August 21, 2024 (9:30 AM) – Mass following at St. Al’s Church - Lemont, AT 10:00 AM
