Annie “Lou” Cross,84, of Topton went to her heavenly home on Friday August 9, 2024. She was of the Baptist faith and member at Red Marble Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Etta Welch. She was also preceded in death by 6 siblings: Alma, Wilma, Robert Jr., Chloe, Hazel and Bonnie and a granddaughter Stacey Cross.
Surviving is her husband of 66 years John “Tommy” Cross of Topton, NC; two sons, Ronnie Cross and wife Glenda of Robbinsville, NC, Gary Cross and wife Amy of Nantahala, NC; one brother, Doug Welch and wife Irene of Franklin, NC; five grandchildren, Barry Cross and wife Brittany, Keyla Heard and husband Gary, Mandy, Julius and Noah Cross; four great-grandchildren; Savannah and Chase and Ben and Natalie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services were held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Red Marble Baptist Church with the Reverend Mickey Stewart officiating. Interment was in the Briartown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry Cross, Chase O’Dell, Julius Cross, Noah Cross, Gary Heard, and Scott Dockery.
The family received friends from 12-1:45 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Red Marble Baptist Church.
