Ada M. Beardsley, 95, of Sanford, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.  Born on July 25, 1929,  in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Helen Thompson Reynolds.  She married  Floyd “Bill” Beardsley on August 13, 1954 in Centerville, PA  who preceded her in death on June 14, 1998.  Together they enjoyed owning and operating  their Dairy Farm on Mickle Hill that they purchased in 1952.  The farm has been in continuous operation since that time and is still being farmed by their daughter,  Martha.  Ada was a 4-H leader during the years that she was raising her family.  She was the leader of the Sanford Barn Busters 4-H Club for many years.  She was a member of the State and National Holstein Association.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning. 

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mary Buzard of Kane, PA, and Martha (Mike Upton) Beardsley of Springcreek, PA; her sister-in-law, Alberta (Dave) Morrison of Pittsfield, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ada was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ellsworth Reynolds, Paul Reynolds and Leo (Bill) Brown; and a  twin sister, Adeline Reynolds.

Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation at the McKinney Funeral Home, 54 West Main St., Youngsville, PA, on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 12 – 2 pm at which time a funeral service will be held there at 2 pm.  A graveside service will follow at Sanford Cemetery.  The family suggests those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Sanford United Methodist Church.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.mckinneyfuneral.com
